Watch: Boiler Room Recreated a Legendary Acid House Pool Party in Manchester
During the Easter Weekend Boiler Room recreated a legendary acid house pool party originally held in 1988, hosted by Factory Records and The Hacienda owner Tony Wilson. The original club event took place at the Victoria Baths in Manchester and featured a live performance by A Guy Called Gerald (with Graham Massey) and dj sets by Graeme Park, Pete Waterman and Richard Creme. The event was also filmed and broadcasted on British National TV.
Boiler Room filled up the same pool for the first time in 30 years, and brought the acid house magic back to life. A Guy Called Gerald took on the stage once again and was joined by Hacienda resident Jon Dasilva, acid house veteran Danny Rampling and as well as Artwork and MNLTH (live).
